Pregnancy Loss & Miscarriage Therapy in Pasadena & Online Across CA

However your loss happened, it matters. So does your grief.

You wonder what you could have done differently.

If you recently experienced a pregnancy loss, it can feel like a shock to the system. Whether the loss was a miscarriage, termination for medical reasons, fetal reduction, or stillbirth, your mind is searching for answers. You may find yourself replaying appointments, test results, and the days before the loss, wondering if something was missed that could have prevented the outcome.

You and your spouse may both be grieving, but in ways that feel out of sync. One of you may want to talk about the loss frequently, while the other avoids the topic entirely. Since the loss, it’s difficult to find your footing. You might experience stretches of time where the grief feels quieter, followed by waves of sadness that incapacitate you. Alongside the loss of your pregnancy, you’re also grieving the future you imagined.

When you lose a pregnancy, you don't just lose a due date. You lose the person you were becoming.

At the same time, seeing pregnant people or families with young babies is torture. You’re avoiding socializing and feeling disconnected, and going to your OB/GYN appointments feels like walking into an emotional landmine.

Alongside sadness, you may be experiencing guilt, shame, and anger, and in some cases, a sense of relief. You're not sleeping well. You can't concentrate at work. The loss keeps surfacing  when you least expect it. Perhaps you feel a strong emotional connection to the baby and worry that moving forward or healing means letting that connection go.

You don’t have to minimize your grief or make it palatable here. I will hold all of it with you.

Your loss deserves more than being told you can “try again” or that it will “get easier with time.”

After pregnancy loss, many people feel pressure to “move on” before they’ve had a chance to fully process and integrate what happened. Therapy with me gives you a place to slow down, make sense of your experience, and work through the grief in a way that feels purposeful.

As a therapist with lived experience and extensive training in reproductive grief, I understand how destabilizing pregnancy loss can be. My goal is not to rush you toward acceptance or offer empty reassurance; it’s to help you process what happened while giving you everything you need to stay connected to yourself and what matters most.

I pull from a variety of approaches, including psychodynamic and attachment theory, feminist and liberation psychology, CBT, ACT, narrative, and EMDR, to help you make sense of the grief, work through what still feels unresolved, and rebuild trust in yourself and your body. Whatever we work on, it's tailored to you, including what this loss has stirred up outside of the loss itself. Grief this significant doesn't stay in one place–it shows up in your relationships, your work, your sense of who you are–and therapy with me will meet it everywhere it lands.
