  • For best results, the recommendation is to begin working with me weekly. Clients may then decide to transition to bi-weekly or monthly maintenance sessions as they meet their goals, utilize skills, and are approaching the completion of services.

While I will make recommendations for treatment based on your therapy goals, it’s ultimately your choice for how long you are in therapy. Whether you need just a handful of sessions or you’re in therapy for several months or even years, I’m here to support you through it.

  • Yes, I offer in-person therapy services in my Pasadena office. During your free consultation call we can discuss what options—telehealth, in-person, or hybrid—would meet your needs.

  • You will receive a link to your therapy session via email and text 24 hours prior to your appointment time. Online therapy sessions take place virtually through HIPAA-compliant video software called Doxy.me. You can use your phone or computer and do not need to download any additional software. You can join your therapy session from the comfort of your home or anywhere in the state of California, provided it is a space where you have privacy and a quiet environment.

  • Yes, children under the age of 1 are always welcome during session, in-person or virtual, and you may attend to their needs as they arise (i.e. feeding, changing). However, some parents like to have the therapy space to themselves without having to be in “parent mode,” and so it becomes a matter of honoring what you need and balancing that with the realities of childcare options. I will work with you to ensure childcare doesn’t prevent you from getting the care and help you need.

  • Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and begin building the foundation for our work together. We’ll review your intake paperwork, talk about what’s been bringing you to therapy, and start identifying the goals that feel most important to you.

Most people leave the first session saying they feel relieved to finally have a space to talk openly—and hopeful about the path forward.

  • My current rates are as follows:

    —Individual Sessions: $240 (50 min)

    —Couples/Dyads Sessions: $280 (60 min)

75 min & 90 min sessions available for couples, dyads, EMDR therapy, & families as requested.

I am currently taking new clients with availability M-Th during business hours. I have a limited number of evening session times on M/T, and weekend sessions for therapy intensives.

  • I am currently a private pay, out-of-network provider. This decision was made to provide effective mental health treatment without insurance companies dictating your care (such as a limited number of sessions or diagnoses covered).

While I don’t accept insurance directly, I’ve partnered with Mentaya to help clients use their out-of-network benefits to save money on therapy. You can do an instant benefits check to verify your out-of-network benefits and save on therapy costs here.

I am happy to provide you with a monthly superbill for you to submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement for a portion of the session fee.

  • Private pay allows therapy to be more personalized because treatment isn’t limited by insurance company rules or diagnosis requirements. I’m able to keep a smaller caseload, which means more time, attention, and flexibility for each client. You also avoid common insurance challenges like long waitlists, prior authorizations, and sudden changes to coverage. As a therapist with advanced certification in perinatal mental health (PMH-C), private pay also allows me to provide specialized support that many insurance-based providers may not offer. This approach helps ensure your care stays focused on what you truly need for healing—not what an insurance company requires.

  • When you fill out intake forms as a new client, you will also fill out a credit card authorization form. That card can be a credit card, debit card, or HSA/FSA card. Your card will be automatically charged on the day of your session.

  • If you’re unable to attend your scheduled session, please plan to cancel 48 hours in advance. Otherwise, if I’m not able to reschedule you to another day during that same week, you will be charged the full rate of the session.
