-
What are your rates and availability?
My current rates are as follows:
—Individual Sessions: $240 for 50 min session
—Couples/Dyads Sessions: $260 for 50 min session or $320 for 75 min session
—EMDR Therapy: $300 for 75 min session

I am current taking new clients, with availability during weekday business hours. I have a small number of evening session times, and for therapy intensives, I also offer weekend sessions. -
Do you take insurance?
I am currently a private pay, out-of-network provider. This decision was made to provide effective mental health treatment without insurance companies dictating your care and to protect your mental health privacy.
While I don’t accept insurance directly, I’ve partnered with Mentaya to help clients use their out-of-network benefits to save money on therapy. You can do an instant benefits check to verify your out-of-network benefits and save on therapy costs here.

What does a typical therapy session with you look like?
Typically sessions with me begin with checking in on any updates from your week or feedback from skills practiced between sessions. My approach is interactive and responsive to your needs on that day, while also holding your long-term therapy goals in mind. We’ll typically end the session with takeaways and potential “field work” between sessions.
-
How long do I need to be in therapy?
For best results, the recommendation is to begin working with me weekly. Often clients experience a reduction in their symptoms after 6-12 sessions. At that point, some clients prefer to step down to a biweekly or monthly rhythm, while others choose to continue seeing me weekly indefinitely. While I will make recommendations for treatment, it is ultimately your choice for how long you are in therapy.
-
Can I bring my baby with me to sessions?
Yes, you’re welcome to have your baby with you during session and attend to their needs as they arise (i.e. nursing), as you two are a unit in those early months. My Pasadena office can accommodate babies. However, some parents like to have the therapy space to themselves without having to be in “parent mode,” and so it becomes a matter of honoring what you need and balancing that with the realities of childcare options. I will work with you to ensure childcare doesn’t prevent you from getting the care and help you need.
-
How does payment work?
When you fill out intake forms as a new client, you will also fill out a credit card authorization form. That card can be a credit card, debit card, or HSA/FSA card. Your card will be automatically charged on the day of your session.
-
What is your cancellation policy?
If you’re unable to attend your scheduled session, please plan to cancel 48 hours in advance. Otherwise, if I’m not able to reschedule you to another day during that same week, you will be charged the full rate of the session.
-
How does online therapy work?
You will receive a link to your therapy session via email and text 24 hours prior to your appointment time. Online therapy sessions take place virtually through HIPAA-compliant video software called Doxy.me. You can use your phone or computer and do not need to download any additional software. You can join your therapy session from the comfort of your home or anywhere in the state of California, provided it is a space where you have privacy and a quiet environment.
-
Do you offer in-person therapy?
Yes, I offer in-person therapy services in my Pasadena office. During your consultation call we can discuss options to meet your needs.
-
What therapy modalities do you use?
My practice is relational and psychodynamic, with a focus on attachment theory and strength-based approaches. This means that we work together to explore how your early life has shaped your current patterns and then use your natural strengths to help you gain better understanding and shift unwanted behaviors. I will be a real person with you in the room and integrate both humor and sincerity into our sessions. More details on my approach can be found here.

What's the next step if I'm interested?
The next step is to schedule a 20-minute video call with me. The focus will be to get to know one another better--for me to understand more about what's bringing you to therapy, and for you to learn about my approach and how I might help you.
My goal is for you to get the support you need. If we’re not a good fit to work together, I can point you in the direction of other options and resources that might be of support.
